Subject: Tech Support Answer not totally correct.
This is in regards to your September 2007 Popular Photography & Imaging issue. In the Your Questions Answered section on page 116 you indicated that when cleaning the censor of a Canon 5D you should use Eclipse 2. Based on the manufacturers website
This is not totally true. They recommend using the standard Eclipse product not the Eclipse 2 product. The Canon 5D does not have an Indium Tin Oxide coated CMOS censor therefor Eclipse 2 is not needed to clean its sensor. They do mention that it will not hurt to use Eclipse 2 on the standard sensor.
I own a 5D and have been using the standard Eclipse for the past year. Your answer made me think that I might have been using the wrong product. Just an FYI.
