YouTube made video-sharing a worldwide phenomenon, and made it possible for ordinary people to film their lives and broadcast to the world. And now, Casio is making the technology side idiot-proof.

Casio, Inc. has announced an agreement with the popular video sharing site YouTube. Casio’s newest EXILIM digital cameras will have a new YouTube capture mode and software that will make recording, storing, and uploading videos meant for YouTube easy, quick, and streamlined.

“We recognized that there was a demand for an easier way to upload high-quality video,” said John Homlish, a Casio Vice President.

The YouTube capture mode records in MPEG-4 H.264 high quality format, and compresses in a way that lets users record longer. The software applications make uploading to YouTube seamless and user-friendly.

“We are constantly looking for ways to make it simpler for our community to create and share videos,” said YouTube’s Hunter Walk.

This line of cameras also includes the eBay? Best Shot Mode, which allows eBay users to take photos at the optimal size and quality for selling. Now if they could only figure out how to make all that attic junk sellable…
