](http://stateoftheart.popphoto.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/2007/07/24/sterriweb_2.jpg) So things are a little slower in the summer, as I've mentioned before. But think of it as some welcome breathing room in which to savor a few choice shows. This week I recommend Susan Meiselas at Cohen Amador, a collection of images from her 2001 book, Pandora's Box, that capture the unsettling world of a New York S&M club. And don't miss Bjorn Sterri's work at Zeitgeist in Nashville (although I missed a post about the opening). I got to see Sterri's work in Madrid and spent some time with the photographer. His portraits of his family and himself are beautiful and touching in a refreshingly unromanticized way.
