Tip of the Day: Go Lightly

By limiting your options it will force you to think more about composition, subject matter and range. You can also sling the kit over your shoulder and not have to visit the chiropractor on Monday morning. By limiting your gear, you’ll actually expand your knowledge and shoot better photos. And you’ll be more inclined to take your gear with you on more outings.— Kevin Segedi

Summer’s just around the corner so put together a kit that packs lightly. If you usually carry all your gear in a backpack, shed the weight by paring your gear down to the essentials. If you shoot 35mm, carry just the SLR and one lens, and make it a 50mm or 35mm prime. Prime lenses have less weight, faster apertures, and produce some stunning images.
