New York Post Auditions Freelance Photogs

The story of how the New York Post's photo editor's is calling in all of its freelancers for mock-assignments is weird from beginning to end. Go here for the detail. Here's one theory of what's behind it all: The Post's owner, Rupert Murdoch, is deep into negotiations to buy the Wall Street Journal, which famously never runs photographs. So? What if Rupert wanted to put photos in his new WSJ? Where would he find them? Right? This is just a personal, paranoid theory of mine. I hope.--David Schona
