It seems we will forgive celebrities of crimes and mistakes that we would never let even our closest friends live down. Like when Hugh Grant was convicted of “lewd conduct in a public place” with a prostitute while in a serious relationship with Liz Hurley, we forgave him and embraced him once again in an endless number of charming, yet slightly bumbling romantic lead roles.
And now, Grant has been accused of verbal and physically attacking photographer Ian Whittaker. According to Whittaker, Grant chased him down the street, kicked him several times, wished ill on his loved ones, offered to pay him to not photograph him ever again, and in an instantly famous move, threw a container of baked beans at Whittaker. Despite photographs of the incident, Grant denies the allegations.
