Popularity has always had its perks, and that's certainly still true here in the time of social media. An Australian hotel named 1888 is now offering a free stay to Instagram users who have more than 10,000 followers.
The promotion is celebrating a recent redesign of the hotel, which is named for the year during which Kodak released some of their most critical photographic achievements.
The walls are covered with Instagram photos and there are plenty of spots around the hotel seemingly custom-built for Instagrammability.
It's an interesting concept, but one that has actually been in use by several restaurants and other establishments already. On the other hand, some restaurants have been banning Instagram.
