In celebration of Great American Country’s new series Barn Hunters (premiering Thursday, Nov. 18 at 9|8c), we’re partnering with the network in the Hunt For Americana Photo Contest!
The Challenge
We’re on the hunt for American nostalgia. Architecture of yesteryear. Sprawling landscapes. Roadside icons rarely seen today. How about vintage signs, weathered barns and memorabilia harkening back to a specific time and place? No matter the era, we want you to capture classic Americana. Four GRAND PRIZE WINNERS receive a one-year, $5,000 freelance contract with Great American Country, a 5-year subscription to Popular Photography magazine and more!
How It Works
- Enter your favorite classic Americana photos – up to three images per entrant.
- Expert judges score entries based on criteria including adherence to theme, skill, composition, color, and nostalgia factor.
- Grand Prize Winners and Runners-Up will be selected in FOUR U.S. regions – the Northeast, the Midwest, the South and the West, based on score.
- Top-scorers – one in each U.S. region – win a $5,000 freelance contract with Great American Country network, a 5-year subscription to Popular Photography and more! Runners-up in each U.S. region win $500 cash, a 1-year subscription to Popular Photography and more!
