Review: Wow, what a lens. Admittedly, I am new to pro-quality lenses, but this lens is impressive. The fit and finish is excellent, just excellent. Autofocus is blazingly fast. I bought this lens to cover my girls' (indoor) ballet performances, and thus use it only rarely, but then the lens shines. Every time I put it on my camera, I am surprised by the lightining-fast, steel-trap precision autofocus performance. Its picture quality of the often poorly-lit and fast-motion targets it has to work with during a ballet performance, is superb. Why do I use it only rarely, then? The focal range of 50-150mm is very narrow and doesn't cover enough to be useful to my landscape photography hobby. I bought this lens for my mate and my girls, and it performs like a champ. Incidentally, the focal range makes it a very good indoor portrait lens, as well. Very highly recommended, if you can live with its limited focal range.
