What's Hot: very sharp lens!, built like a brick, awsome pictures in detail, color, contrast and did I say sharp!
What's Not: some purple fringing in very bright sunlight but who cares if you know that's the only concern.

Review: I purchased this lens after my 70-200mm 2.8 VR and I've been using this 85mm 1.4 for indoor basketball...i've been using this lens since then, with the 1.4 it is a light magnet. It took some getting use to with a fixed focal lens that is actually 128mm with a Nikon DSLR. The results are very impressive. If you want to own Nikon lens this is one lens that you must have. With cropping this one lens made it look like I was using multiple lens.
