What's Hot: Amazing lens, great at 1.4, even better when you stop down a little bit.
What's Not: Price perhaps, you pay dearly for that stop from the 35 f/2 (which is a good lens in it's own right) to the amazing f/1.4

Review: This is a professional photographer's lens and has a price accordingly. Even if the digicam standard 35 mm focal lenght seems boring, there's a reason why it's that popular.
Not metal housed, but high impact plastic, which feels weird for an L lens, but it can withstand abuse like any other lens in it's family.
Amazing optics wide open, gets even better as you stop down. With a 1D Mk III or a 5D you'll be amazed how dimly lit scenes turn out!
