What's Hot: Solid, weatherproof, and easy to operate. The vertical grip is really nice to use, and the second battery in the grip is a plus.
What's Not: Not for those who want the fastest AF on the planet.

Review: The K10D is a rock solid camera. It feels great in the hands, particularly with a heavier lens and the grip.
I particularly appreciate having all the most commonly used controls on the outside buttons and dials rather than in the menu system.
The weather proofing means that my weather proofing will be the limiting factor, not the camera's.
Despite the AF being a bit slower than Canon's it is fast enough for me. Being able to switch AF points with an external control is really helpful.
The [Fn] button with the most used functions there was not enough room for on the outside and the less commonly used controls required in the menus is a good compromise.
The [Info] button cycles through four displays in playback:
(1) just the picture (with blinkies if you want) and the four way controller is enabled to rotate the picture.
(2) overlaid Shutter speed, aperture, file type, and file number
(3) histograms (RGB and Exposure)
(4) Picture stats (top to bottom. left to right): Meter pattern, file number, Mode dial setting, MF/AF.S/AF.C, AF spot selection, Exposure mode, shutter speed, exposure compensation, focal length, WB setting, File size and quality, color space, date and time, saturation, sharpness and contrast.
