What's Hot: Great controls and build quality and excellent metering

What's Not: A tad heavy because of the build quality

Review: The controls of this camera are excellent. Its exposure metering is fantastic. The D70 underexposes, the D80 blows out highlights, the D300 overexposes slightly, with a tendency to overdo highlights, but the D200 and to a slightly lesser extent, but by not much, the D40, are excellent in regard to exposure metering. The build quality and controls are really superior on the D200. I think it is Nikon's best camera body for the reasons I explain here.
