Rugged cameras have a history of being rather flamboyant looking and Sony's new value-oriented tough shooter is no exception. It actually looks a bit like Canon's old D10 camera, at least in color. It is, however, a lot less blimp-shaped.The TF1 has a 16.1-megapixel sensor -- a Sony staple -- and a 2.7-inch LCD. It's only waterproof to 33-feet and the 4x zoom lens has a maximum aperture of F/3.6-F/4.7. Maximum ISO goes to just 3200. But, since these cameras are made for action, outdoor light will likely make those specs a little easier to overcome.

Metabones impressed us in January of this year, when they announced an adapter that would allow Canon lenses to work with electronic aperture control on Sony NEX bodies. Their newest product goes a step beyond that, achieving the pinnacle of the adapter mount: autofocus. They claim Canon AF lenses will work with the Smart Adapter II for Sony NEX bodies.

Just this morning here at Photokina 2012, Hasselblad announced a partnership with Sony, and the first product to come of it is the relatively insane Hasselblad Lunar Interchangeable-Lens Compact."At its heart," to quote a Hasselblad rep, "there is an NEX-7." It has the same 24.3-megapixel APS-C sensor, OLED electronic viewfinder, AF system and image processor. But, Hasselblad has done a fair bit of tinkering with the insides, which they claim make it more "precise" in its operation.

The NEX-5N is just a few weeks old, but now there's even another addition to the NEX family in the form of the NEX-6.One of the first things you'll notice when picking it up is that it has a built-in electronic viewfinder. It's the same OLED Tru-Finder that resides in the NEX-7. It has a resolution of 2.36 million dots and covers 100% of the frame.
