Projects

There have been a few projects recently intended to capture a snapshot of daily life from a variety of viewpoints. The latest is Project 100, an effort to send disposable cameras (I know, yuck) to a group of 100 people, each of a different age. The ultimate goal is to juxtapose images from the lives of a wide variety of people.

 Swedish non-profit foundation Expressions of Humankind want May 15th, 2012 to be the most remembered day in history. They're trying to accomplish this by asking as many people as possible to photograph the things important to their daily lives. Then, after the photos are uploaded Aday.org, they promised to present them in an interesting and rather comprehensive way, so we can all experience the world through photography.

Even though the weather isn't necessarily cooperating, the time for spring cleaning is here and that goes for your gear as well as your attic. In the above Youtube video, a steady-handed DIY-er takes apart a 50mm Pentax lens to remove some pesky mold that has built up on some of the elements.
