Micro Four Thirds

Earlier this year, we heard reports that the innovative Metabones Speed Booster would be coming to Micro Four Thirds in April. Unfortunately, that date has now slipped, and Olympus and Panasonic ILC shooters will have to wait a bit longer before being able to try the light boosting powers of the adapter.On the Speed Booster FAQ page, Metabones said:

The 60mm f/2.8 DN lens is Sigma’s latest addition to its “Art” series of mirrorless glass. Available in Sony E-mount and Micro Four Thirds, the 60mm features an all-metal housing, a linear AF motor (for silent autofocusing during video capture), and a large, exaggerated focusing ring.The 60mm is a 120mm equivalent on a Micro Four Thirds body and a 90mm equivalent on Sony E-mount. It offers a 7-blade diaphragm and a close-focusing distance of 50cm.

Initially introduced at Photokina, Olympus has just made its M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 17mm f/1.8 lens properly official, giving it a full announcement, including a price and street date. It will be available in December for $499, and with its 34mm full-frame equivalent field of view, it will likely make some street photographers very happy.

The Panasonic G-series is the longest standing name in the Micro Four Thirds system, and now, just a few months before Photokina, there's an update to the G3. The G5 stays pretty close to its roots, using a 16.05-megapixel sensor, but the Venus Engine it's coupled with has been totally revamped. It now has 3D and Multi-process noise reduction to help improve low-light performance. It also now has in-camera HDR, something that's becoming standard in most cameras.
