SLR Magic's newest lens won't be available until this year's Photokina, but the company has decided to start the new year with a bang, and announced it anyway. The SLR Magic HyperPrime CINE 50mm T0.95 is designed for the Leica M-Mount, and unfortunately there aren't many other salient details about it. The lens is 50mm equivalent, has a maximum aperture of T0.95, which equates to f/0.92 in the more common parlance.

Tamron has dipped its toes into the world of Sony's successful NEX line of ILC cameras, and has announced the 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III VC (Model B011). Set to go on sale internationally on December 15th, Tamron hasn't said a word about what this thing will cost. What we do know is that it's an 18-200mm zoom (27-300mm equivalent), has optical stabilization in the form of Tamron's "Vibration Control", and weighs almost exactly one pound.

Three lenses designed for the J1 and V1 have been given firmware updates by Nikon, fixing two bugs:

• An issue that sometimes caused the aperture value recorded in image data to differ from the actual aperture value at which the image was shot has been resolved.
• An issue that in some rare cases caused images to be blurred when shot immediately after the camera was shaken or moved quickly has been resolved.

Compared to most other fisheye prime lenses, Canon's 8-15mm F/4 zoom lens is actually very versatile. But, unless you already have one in your bag, it's hard to get a handle on exactly how fishy things get with a fisheye, so we put together a little video demonstration that shows what you'll get on both a full-frame and a crop body.
