Earlier this year Canon issued a product advisory for the Rebel T4i (aka 650D, aka Kiss X6i) — but it appears more units than originally guessed are being affected.The advisory was with regard to units having a problem with the black rubber grips turning white, and potentially induce an allergic reaction in users.

 If you have a shiny new Canon Rebel T4i and the grips seem to be turning white, it's not your imagination. Thanks to a production error with the rubber manufacturer, a substance called zinc bis (N,N’-dimethyldithiocarbamate) forms in the grips. As a result, they turn white and produce a powder that, in rare circumstances, can cause a skin reaction.

The NEX-F3 isn't the only new piece of kit in the Sony arsenal tonight. Following their familiar naming structure, Sony is following up the A35 with the new A37.

There have been rumblings around the internet that Canon's new 5D Mark III DSLR has been having light leak issues here in its early stages. Here's the description of the problem directly from the Canon advisory: "In extremely dark environments, if the LCD panel illuminates, the displayed exposure value may change as a result of the AE sensor’s detection of light from the LCD panel."
