Lumix FX78Panasonic seems to be committed to equipping their new compacts with touch-screens, and the all-new FX78 is no exception. It sports a 3.5” Smart Touch LCD for handling camera operations. But, they have also included a few buttons, just in case you're not totally over the whole tactile feedback thing.

I often go out walking to take stock photographs of London. I have an idea that photographs are out there and just hidden, but with a bit of luck and wandering around you can find them. There are certain areas I go to that have the potential for interesting still lifes—unusual objects—and when I’m in Islington I always take the route down Camden Passage. It’s a narrow street, just a few blocks long, that has several antiques stores with displays set out on the sidewalk.

Back in 2007, John Maloof, a Chicago real-estate broker, attended a furniture and antique auction, where he stumbled upon a collection of about 100,000 prints and negatives shot by an unknown photographer—many of them undeveloped. Intrigued, he purchased the collection for a mere $400. He later found out that the massive archive of images he had acquired were shot by Vivian Maier, arguably one of America’s most accomplished yet completely-unknown street photographers—that is, until now.
