Viewfinder: Rangefinder patch is bright and contrasty with viewfinder magnification of 0.83X (well within spec). Screen image is 79 percent of picture area (slightly larger than Leica M6 0.72X, which was 77 percent) with minimal parallax error (shifted only 1 mm to the left).
Shutter speed accuracy: Shutter speeds were extremely accurate, quite improved from the previous Leica M6; less than 1/10 f-stop over/underexposure at all speeds.
Exposure accuracy at film plane: Exposures were also extremely accurate: from EV 1 to EV 3 we measured about 1/5 f-stop overexposure, from EV 4 to EV 16 there was less than 1/10 f-stop over/underexposure, and at EV 17 there was 1/5 f-stop overexposure. |
