Pop Photo Photographer of the Year finalist Mike Peters is exhibiting his work in a new show, Street Stories, at the Paterson Museum in Paterson, New Jersey. The exhibit opens on April 14 and will be on view through May 26. Street Stories showcases 41 of Peters' candid portraits taken between 2003 and 2006 on the streets of New York City, New Jersey, and California. Click here to view the photographs.
Mike Peters was a finalist in Popular Photography & Imaging's first annual Photographer of the Year contest in 2005. A New Jersey native, Peters shines in the area of candid street portraits. He works at Montclair State University as a campus photographer.
Street Stories will be on view at the Paterson Museum, located at 2 Market Place, Paterson, New Jersey, April 14 - May 26. An opening reception for the artist will be held Saturday, April 14, 6 - 9 p.m. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 12:30 - 4:30 p.m.
