Fantasea Releases FS-600 Underwater Housing

The new housing protects Nikon's Coolpix S600 point-and-shoot down to a depth of 200 feet.

Fantasea has introduced a new FS-600 underwater housing for Nikon's Coolpix S600 point-and-shoot camera. The housing has a depth rating of 200 feet and features double O-ring seals on all controls, an anti-glare hood for the LCD screen, a removable flash diffuser, and a 46mm lens port ring thread for attaching accessory lenses and filters.

Camera controls that are accessible via the new FS-600 housing include:

  • Camera On/Off
  • Shutter Release
  • Zoom In/Out
  • Playback
  • Menu
  • Delete
  • Timer
  • Macro
  • Flash
  • Exposure Compensation

The FS-600 will be available in April 2008 for $245, and comes with a year of flood insurance for the camera used with the housing.
