Houdah Releases Geocoding Software

HoudahGeo lets Mac users add location data to photos.

Houdah Releases Geocoding Software

Houdah Software has released a photo geocoding program for Mac OS X. HoudahGeo 1.0.2 allows photographers to import images and GPS data tracks and automatically attaches the location information to the photos. Users can also manually tag images with a location when no GPS data is available by clicking on a Google Maps interface. For the most precise geocoding, images may be matched to GPS waypoints.

HoudahGeo integrates with iPhoto and Aperture, and geocoded photos can be exported in Google Earth files for displaying photos online within Google Earth. Geocoded images can also be uploaded to various Web photo-sharing sites that display geocoded photos on a map, such as Flickr.

HoudahGeo is available on Houdah's Web site for an introductory price of $24.95 for a single-user license, $49.95 for a group license or $12.45 for a student license. Trial versions are also available.
