The online visual arts community site Myartspace has launched the "New York, New York 2007" competition. The winning entries will be exhibited at a gallery in New York City's Chelsea district for three weeks in fall 2007, and the artists will receive a two-day trip to the city to attend the gallery opening.
To enter, contestants must create an online gallery containing up to five images on myartspace.com by September 15 and pay a $25 submission fee before June 30. A three-person jury will select 50 finalists and four winners on the basis of their work's artistic merit, originality and innovation, and relevance to the contemporary art world.
