Olympus has introduced a new 10-megapixel digital SLR. The compact Evolt E-510 offers a 2.5-inch live-view LCD, optical image stabilization, and an improved system for removing dust from the sensor. It also has a new 49-area metering system and uses Olympus's new TruePic III image processor.
The E-510 will be available in June 2007. The camera has a Four Thirds lens mount and is compatible with Olympus's E system accessories, including a new wired remote control. It will be sold for $799 (body only), in an $899 kit with Olympus's new 14mm-42mm lens, and in a $999 two-lens kit that also includes the new 40-150mm lens.
