Pentax Releases K10D Firmware Upgrade

Pentax has upgraded the firmware for its K10D digital SLR. Version 1.10 adds wireless external flash control through the built-in flash, as well as a group of new ways to use the camera's controls. With the new firmware installed, you'll be able to use the AF button to return to center autofocus in AF select mode, assign ISO control to the e-dial in priority shooting modes, change the ISO setting with the front e-dial, use the Green button function in priority modes, and return to the default flash setting by pressing the Green button. The selection of settings available through the e-dial in Program mode has also been expanded.

To download the firmware and get details on the new features, go to the Self-Support section of Pentax's Web site at www.pentaximaging.com.
