Canon cuts the price of the EOS Rebel XT to $599.

Let the DSLR price wars begin. Only days after Nikon's introduction of their new 6-megapixel D40 Digital SLR, priced at $599.95 (with 18-55mm lens), Canon has slashed prices on their popular 8-megapixel model, the EOS Rebel XT. Just in time for the holiday sales blitz, they are cutting the price down by $300 to just $599.95 (body only) or $699.95 (with 18-55mm lens).
