HP/Snapfish and Nokia Make a Splash With New Online Printing Service

HP and Nokia have announced that they will enable a quick and easy online printing experience for Nokia N-series multimedia computer users in the United States.

Beginning with the Nokia N80 Internet Edition, which is expected to begin shipping in time for the holidays, users will have the ability to capture images and instantly order prints via Snapfish from their mobile devices – without having to wait until they next access a PC.

"With the recent explosion of high-quality camera phones in the market, users now have an increasing desire to order high-quality prints instantly from their phones," said Ben Nelson, general manager, Snapfish by HP. "The integration of Snapfish’s online photo print service on Nokia Nseries phones signifies the utmost in choice and convenience for consumers, providing high-quality prints for just 12 cents each."

The Snapfish online photo printing service is accessible through the user’s photo gallery, which is stored on the phone. Once in the photo gallery, users can select photos to order with the choice of 4 x 6-inch, 5 x 7-inch and wallet-sized prints. A selection of photo merchandise products is expected to be made available later in the future.

"Nokia is continually striving to provide the most meaningful consumer experiences, and by adding HP’s Snapfish printing solution to the Nokia N80 Internet Edition we can seamlessly deliver the kind of personalization and multimedia features in our Nokia Nseries lineup that our customers are asking for," said Nigel Rundstrom, vice president, Multimedia Sales and Channel Development, Nokia America. "The Nokia Nseries devices continue to bring innovation to wireless – and the Snapfish service is just the latest in our advanced mobile offerings."
