Blue Pixel to Train AP Photographers

Blue Pixel and The Associated Press (AP) today announced that Blue Pixel will train more than 200 AP staff photographers and editors in digital photography workflow and image processing.

Beginning in September, Blue Pixel will teach the AP staff photographers and editors about the technical aspects of capturing, managing and delivering AP images. Hosted by a Blue Pixel professional photographer, the two full-day classroom sessions will include technologies that address the digital imaging trends of today and look ahead to what is coming in the future.

"We're proud of the AP's reputation as a leader in photography - and we're committed to enhancing and maintaining our high technical standards with the help of the digital imaging experts at Blue Pixel," said Santiago Lyon, Director of Photography at the AP.

"The training for the AP photo staff will integrate the latest techniques in workflow, utilizing some of the newest hardware and software tools available," said Nick Didlick, Senior Associate at Blue Pixel and a professional photographer. "This training is an investment in the AP photo staff so it can maintain its leadership position in delivering powerful images to media outlets worldwide for years to come."
