MediaStreet Unveils eMotion Twister-Cam

MediaStreet Inc. is introducing what they are calling “one of the most innovative multifunctional digital capture and playback devices in the industry.” The new eMotion DV9 Twister-Cam is said to give consumers the best of several worlds by incorporating into a single ultra-compact unit a high-quality 5-megapixel digital camera and a 1/2.5-inch CCD video chip for shooting videos. The palm-sized unit also functions as an MP3 audio player, MPEG-4 video playback device, voice recorder, mass storage device and PC cam. The eMotion DV9 Twister-Cam will be available nationwide in September with suggested retail price of $279.00.

“MediaStreet’s Twister-Cam answers a lot of requests from consumers looking for a high quality portable media device capable of performing several different functions,” says Norm Levy, president of MediaStreet, Inc. “By incorporating components such as Olympus optics and Panasonic CCD chip design, we are ensuring that Twister-Cam will offer high performance operation and produce very high quality photographs, video and audio renditions.”

When closed the Twister-Cam fits nicely in the palm of your hand, similar to a thin deck of cards. To open the multimedia device simply swing the device to a 45 degree angle to expose the controls needed to take photographs and make videos. The control panel is extremely intuitive and makes recording and playback quick and easy.

As a digital still camera, the Twister Cam is said to be capable of producing very high quality photographs in the JPEG format by combining its 5-megapixel sensor with a built-in Olympus f/2.8 optical lens. With interpolation, Twister-Cam can produce 8-megapixel images. An SD / MMC card slot allows images to be recorded directly to the card for easy transfer to computers or portable hard drives. The built-in flash unit provides additional fill light for subjects, while its 1/1000 – 2 second shutter speed range gives a variety of exposure and creative options.

Thanks to a high quality Olympus optical lens and Panasonic 1/2.5-inch CCD sensor, Twister-Cam is capable of producing high quality digital video. All video is recorded directly to an SD or MMC card for easy recording, transfer and direct playback on the Twister-Cam’s 2-inch TFT video screen.

Twister-Cam can also double as a PC cam, making it ideal for business travelers and students who want to keep in visual contact with family and friends. Attaching the Twister-Cam to a computer via its USB 2.0 port provides the additional opportunity for video conferencing or adding a new dimension to email.

Users can take advantage of Twister-Cam’s built-in 32MB hard drive or an SD/ MMC card to download and listen to favorite music, while simultaneously viewing favorite photos or watching videos.
