FujiFilm Expands FinePix Line

February 14, 2006

PP0206_FujiF30_mainFuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc., has expanded its line of FinePix digital cameras with three new introductions. Top among the new cameras is the FinePix F30, which features a sixth generation Super CCD sensor, along with Fujifilm's second era of Real Photo Technology, and the RP Processor II. The new 6.3 MegaPixel FinePix F30 offers ISO speeds as high as 3200. Higher light sensitivities allow the FinePix F30 to shoot with faster shutter speeds, decreasing the likelihood of blurred pictures caused by ever-active children, fidgety pets, low ambient light or camera movement due to an unsteady hand. The F30 features a new flash system called i-Flash, which works in tandem with Real Photo Technology to read available light and adjust the flash’s power accordingly for proper contrast.

The FinePix F650 is a 6.3 megazpixel camera that offers a 5x optical zoom lens. Another defining feature of the FinePix F650 is its 3-inch LCD display, which features 230,000 pixels and automatically brightens in low-light shooting environments. On-board memory provides extra picture storage options.

The FinePix A600 expands the A-Series line of digitals, joining the A400 and A500 introduced last month at CES. The A-Series are designed as entry-level models. However, in 2006, Fujifilm is incorporating its Super CCD sensor into these models, for improved quality. The FinePix A600 features 6.3MP, a 3x Fujinon Zoom Lens, and 2.4-inch LCD. The camera also has four scene modes: portrait, landscape, sport and night.

The FinePix F30 will be available in May. The A600 and F650 will be available in June. For more information, go to www.fujifilm.com.
