Bravo to Air Photography Reality Show

"Money Shot" will follow the network's successful "Project Runway" model.

April 4, 2007

Bravo has ordered a pilot for "Money Shot," a new weekly reality series that will focus on photography, reports industry trade "Variety."

Photographers will face off in competitions surrounding a weekly photo shoot, and their work will be critiqued by a panel of expert judges (one of which is likely not Miss J. Alexander). Those who don't capture the proverbial money shot will be sent home.

The cable network, owned by NBC Universal, will attempt to apply to photography the formula that worked so well in the realms of fashion ("Project Runway"), food ("Top Chef"), interior design ("Top Design") and hairstyling ("Shear Genius"). According to Nielsen data, Bravo scored its best-ever first-quarter primetime ratings this year, soaring 19 percent among adults 18-49.
