A Swiss Museum Wants Your Photographs

The Musée de l'Elysée in Lausanne, Switzerland, will open its "We Are All Photographers Now!" exhibit on February 8, 2007. The show will run through May 20, 2007, and explore "the rapid mutation of amateur photography in the digital age" with displays of images submitted by amateur photographers from around the world.

Photographs can be contributed via the uploading form on the exhibit's Web site. All images that are submitted will be displayed by projection or on a screen, and contributors will receive a Webcam photo of their image being shown in the museum. In addition, the curators will randomly select 100 images each day to be output by an HP Z3100 printer and stored in the museum's permanent archive after the show closes. The exhibit will accept images captured with any type of camera, as long as they're submitted in JPEG format.

A series of talks and other events will also take place at the museum during the course of the exhibit. The exhibit organizers plan online components for some of the events as well. A full schedule of planned events is available on the exhibit Web site.
