Want to become a better photographer?
Willing to invest one day?
Join thousands of others in a photo project that will test your endurance and challenge your creativity, teach you a lot, and be great fun.
Here's the assignment:
Shoot one photo every five minutes all day long on Sunday, January 21, 2007.
Photograph whatever you want! However you want!
You get eight hours off for sleeping, and one hour for personal business. The rest of the time it's... Shoot! Shoot! Shoot!
That's 15 hours and at least 225 photos.
Then, e-mail your five best images to Shooting@popphoto.com.
Images will be posted at www.PopPhoto.com.
Plus, you could win the Grand Prize: A Pentax K100D Digital SLR.
This 6.1-megapixel camera is a perfect choice when you're getting serious about photography. It has a Shake Reduction technology built right into the camera. So no matter what lens you use, you get help in producing blur-free, sharp photos. The K100D also has a big, 2.5-inch LCD display, as well as built-in flash, and lots of scene modes for the beginner, along with manual controls for advanced shooters. The camera comes with two lenses -- a Pentax Zoom Super Wide Angle SMCP-DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL lens, and a Zoom Normal-Telephoto SMCP-DA 50-200mm f/4-5.6 ED lens.
As if that weren't enough, the prize package also includes a SanDisk 4-gigabyte SD HC Ultra II memory card. This high-capacity memory card holds thousands of photos between downloads.
The Grand Prize package is worth more than $1,000.
We will draw for this prize from among those who send us five photos. So get your shots in by noon Monday, Feb. 21.
Please read the Official Rules and Terms & Conditions before you enter.
