I scouted out a good spot to capture the majesty of this rock formation in Arches NP, showed up before sunrise, tripod in tow, and took several shots- only to be let down by what resulted. A couple hours later I pulled over by the side of the road and snapped this picture real quick before departing the park. It turned out to be my favorite.
