On an otherwise dull day in the upstate NY winter, as I was about to pack it in after only taking a couple of shots on an hour long hike, I happened to notice a reflection of the setting sun hitting the water as it flowed over a cascade. I was able to get into position on a snow covered bank to capture the beauty of the setting sun.
