This is my friend Dawson. After sleeping all night on the back of the couch, he was enjoying a winter's morning in the sun, which warms him incredibly, even when the temperature is just rising above zero degrees F as on this morning. I took the photo to demonstrate how other mammals use arrector pili muscles in their skin to raise their hair to provide a layer of insulation. Our’s only produce goosebumps, useless vestiges of our past. My thanks to Dawson for the demo.
