Our Lady of Pompeii Church

Our Lady of Pompeii Church overlooks Father Demo Square, an open space created when 6th Avenue was extended below Carmine Street in the early 20th century. This triangular plot of land was later named for Father Antonio Demo, an Italian-born priest who served in Our Lady of Pompeii Church for 35 years.
