Milky Way

This image was created by combining four exposures to create a panoramic view of the galactic center of the Milky Way. The exposures were taken at 3am from Mt. Mauna Kea on the Big Island of Hawaii. The yellow light on the lower left side is from nearby city of Hilo. The red glow on the lower right is the reflection of the light from lava against steam clouds that were generated when lava flowing from Mt. Kiluaea reached the ocean.
