Origin of "Hoopes" Family name

While visiting a friend, they showed me their wood working shed. In the far corner was a stack of antiques and the wheel caught my eye. The Hoopes family name originated from ancesters' trade of making the metal rim that went around the wagon wheels. This photograph shows the cobweb that is spun among the spokes of the wheel.
