This shot was taken in the morning hours of January 4th, 2012 during the Quandrantid Meteor shower at the East Point Lighthouse in Maurice River, NJ. It consists of 509 20 second exposures stacked in post. The first frame was taken as the moon was setting to help light the foreground. The temperature stayed around 15 degrees before the a colder wind. The lighter blue on the right side of the frame is the pre-twilight light as the last frame was taken approximately an hour before sunrise.
