We were staying at the Hotel Galvez prior to taking a cruise out of Galveston, Texas. While touring the hotel, we found this lounge/hallway area and were impressed with the warm character of the location. The natural sunlight coming through the windows gave the setting a completely inviting look. I don't think anyone could have improved on the scene with any amount of artificial lighting. The photo is unretouched except for some slight cropping.
