Holding on

I decided to take a hike at the end of fall after all of the leaves had already fallen from the trees. I came across a branch on a tree that just had these two leaves on it. The sun was just setting and it lit the leaves up and exposed all the detail and texture they contained. It's surprising the colors you will find when you are certain everything has died off for the coming winter.
