Fall of Winter

New England suffered a freak winter storm in Oct. 2011. People weren't ready for it and it caused long-term power outages. Despite the nastiness of the storm's fury, this tree was not willing to give up its leaves. The contrast of fall and winter happening at the same time caught my attention but a closer look at the tenacity of life holding on, no matter what, makes it a favorite of mine.
