Rocinha Favela

Rocinha is the largest favela in Brazil. I had the opportunity to tour the favela during a visit to Rio de Janeiro. While descending the favela, I was more concerned about having my camera stolen than anything else, but decided that if I was going to witness Rocinha with my own eyes, I would try to capture the sight on camera. I was completely taken back by how dense the individual homes were built next to one another, and quietly snapped this photo about midway down the mountain.
