Ruins of Windsor

Completed in 1861, the Windsor Plantation witnessed many a Civil War soldier pass its grounds. The roof observatory was used by Confederates watching the Mississipi River and also used as a Union hospital. Destroyed by a fire in 1890, the 23 Corinthian columns serve as a silent reminder of bygone days.
