Your Best Shot: January 2013

Pink Poppy

By Chuck Murphy
I was leading a photo walk for members of my photo club at the local botanical garden. I was trying to make the point that for flowers, to make an interesting shot you should get REALLY close, so I got underneath this poppy, picked an angle to back light it, and shot at f/16 to maximize depth of field. I practically had to stand on my head to get this angle, but I was pleased with the result.
