Earthy face of Benares
By regis boileau
Abide by the time's tide series
On the Ganges, along Benares. People come in the city of Shiva for millenniums with millions of Gods, all so deep-rooted that the stones ooze faith. Men, here, are praying, performing ablutions, selling goods, washing clothes. With the destruction so intense, yet eclipsed by the creation, you can only change. And around nothing changes. That's not natural. Yet it's nature. Paradox to puzzle you when you enter the soul of India. Life has the strength of death.
