Venetian Reflection
By Stephen Kent
During a trip to Venice I decided to photograph buildings reflected in the canals. For each shot I excluded any above the surface elements, to capture only the reflection. I then flipped the image vertically, to restore the "normal" perspective of the building. Some of the images are mirror-like reflections, others are quite abstract, the result of a gondola or water taxi passing by. This image is somewhere in between, showing some distortions due to the motion of the water.
