On a recent trip to Bosque Del Apache in New Mexico to shoot wildlife, I was looking for scenes that would be suitable for an upcoming competition where the topic was Patterns in Nature. This image includes both the reflected patterns of the twigs in the pond, but also the mild waves in the pond itself. The sun had just begun to set and the colors on the water were beautiful. I like that the reflections aren't mirror images of the twigs, but subtle representations of them.
